Interested in commissioning custom tiny pet portraits? Here are the options:
2"x2" - $120 - My favorite, because it's just so tiny.
2"x3" - $140 - Also my favorite; still tiny, but rectangular, which works better for some compositions and in my opinion looks cool in a set with square piece(s).
3"x3" - $160 - Still tiny, but in a large way! Best if you’re envisioning a more detailed portrait.
Add magnetic backing - $5 each.

Please send a few options of reference photo for each pet to info (at) joshgatesart (dot) com. Natural lighting and/or strong contrast is usually best, and the more personality on display the better! I’m happy to suggest the canvas size I think would work best for your image.
Above are some examples of great reference photos. My goal is for your tiny portrait to have more heart and soul than the photo, but it all starts here. The better the reference, the more striking the painting can be!
Along with your pet’s photos, the most important info I’ll need from you in order to get started is your size selection(s) and whether you want to add magnetic backing. Also, please include each pet’s name and breed, and your shipping address. Once we settle on exactly what you’d like, I’ll have you e-sign a simple contract for the commission, and half of the agreed total price will be due before work commences. Venmo is preferred, or a mailed check or money order—but I can also accommodate card payments or PayPal. Turnaround time is typically two to five weeks, including shipping.
